“Ranbir Kapoor Can’t Pull Off Lord Rama,” Says Mukesh Khanna –

In an evolving world, emerging research continues to highlight concerns that could impact everyday wellbeing. Here’s the key update you should know about:

Mukesh Khanna On Ranbir Kapoor Playing Lord Rama:

Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna has voiced strong reservations about Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming epic Ramayana. In a recent interview with Gallata India, rhe Shaktimaan actor questioned whether Kapoor could convincingly portray the revered “Maryada Purushottam” image of Rama, especially after his bold and violent role in Animal (2023).

Speaking about the film’s depiction of Rama, Khanna criticised certain creative liberties, saying, “They’re showing Rama is climbing trees and shooting arrows. Krishna or Arjuna can do that, but Rama won’t do it. If Rama proclaimed himself a warrior, he would never ask monkeys to help him. He was enough, one man against Ravana.” His remarks suggested that authenticity in portraying mythological characters is crucial and must align with the traditional narrative.

On Ranbir’s suitability for the role, Khanna added, “From what I can see, I don’t know if Ranbir Kapoor can pull off the Maryada Purshottam image of Rama. He’s a good actor, but he has an image chasing him, and that’s Animal. I don’t have an objection to it. He could do it.”

While Khanna acknowledged Kapoor’s talent, he implied that the actor’s modern and intense screen image might overshadow the purity and restraint associated with Lord Rama. His comments have sparked fresh debate among fans and industry watchers about whether Kapoor’s casting is the right choice for such a culturally significant role.
