FIR Against Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone Faulty Vehicle; Details –

In an evolving world, emerging research continues to highlight concerns that could impact everyday wellbeing. Here’s the key update you should know about:

FIR against Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone:

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Mathura Gate Police Station in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, which is linked to popular Bollywood names. The complaint named Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, along with six representatives of Hyundai, in a case related to an allegedly defective Hyundai vehicle.

The FIR stems from a complaint by Kirti Singh, a local resident, who claims that her Hyundai car had technical problems from the beginning. Despite repeated complaints to the company, she says her grievances were not addressed. As brand ambassadors, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone could be held responsible under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, which allows action against endorsers for false or misleading advertisements.

Shah Rukh Khan has been associated with Hyundai India since 1998, beginning with the launch of the Santro. Deepika Padukone joined as a brand ambassador in December 2022, and the two have featured in campaigns together—most recently for the Hyundai Creta.

In 2024, India’s Supreme Court confirmed that celebrities and influencers can be held legally accountable for advertisements they endorse if those ads are misleading. This FIR marks a notable moment in consumer protection and advertising accountability, underscoring the growing legal importance of truthful and responsible marketing. This might also send a strong message to celebrities about their endorsements with brands that are entitled to face such complaints.
