Fans of Salman Khan who were hoping to see him return as Radhe in Tere Naam 2 might have to wait much longer. Recent reports suggested that the actor and producer Sajid Nadiadwala were planning to revive the iconic love Story, but sources close to the development have confirmed that the project is not happening anytime soon.

The sequel idea was originally developed by late filmmaker Satish Kaushik, who directed the 2003 romantic tragedy Tere Naam. According to insiders, Kaushik had narrated the concept to Salman Khan a few years ago, and the superstar had shown interest. However, he asked for a more detailed script and fresh faces to make the Story relevant for today’s generation. Unfortunately, Kaushik’s untimely demise put the project on hold, and it never moved forward.

Sajid Nadiadwala reportedly revisited the idea recently, hoping to revive Tere Naam 2 with Salman. But at present, the actor’s busy schedule has made it nearly impossible. A source revealed that Salman is completely focused on his upcoming action drama Battle of Galwan and also has his commitments with Bigg Boss and international Dabangg Tour.

“Salman hasn’t signed anything new yet. He’s waiting to see how Battle of Galwan performs before locking his next projects. Tere Naam 2 is not even on his radar right now. He has discussed a couple of more ideas besides Tere Naam 2, and will think about them after Galwan. Sajid was more interested in developing Kick 2 with Khan, which hasn’t happened in years, so who knows how long Tere Naam sequel will take,” the source shared.

Kick 2 was discussed by Sajid and Salman discussed even before Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Sikandar but didn’t materialize. Given this pattern, Tere Naam 2 appears to be a distant dream — one that may not happen this decade. For now, fans will have to relive Radhe’s tragic love Story through the original film, which remains one of Salman Khan’s most memorable performances. Many believe that Tere Naam shouldn’t be touched anyone and is best left with its own legacy rather than making a forced sequel for God’s sake.
