Actress Anupama Parameswaran’s Morphed Photos Spread By A 20-Year-Old Girl; Legal Action Taken –

In an evolving world, emerging research continues to highlight concerns that could impact everyday wellbeing. Here’s the key update you should know about:

Anupama Parmeswaran’s morphed photos case:

Actress Anupama Parameswaran has filed a cyber complaint after identifying a 20-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu who allegedly created fake social-media accounts to harass the actor and spread morphed photos and false allegations about her and her family.

In a post shared on Instagram, Anupama revealed that an Instagram profile was circulating “extremely inappropriate and false content about me, my family, and even tagging my friends and co-actors.” She wrote that “the posts included morphed pictures and baseless allegations — it was deeply distressing to witness such targeted harassment online.”

The actress said that following her complaint, the Kerala Cyber Crime Police helped trace the posts and identified that the offender had created several fake accounts for this purpose. To her surprise, the person responsible turned out to be a 20-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu.

Although legal steps are underway, Anupama has decided not to disclose the young woman’s identity, saying she does not wish to “compromise her future or peace of mind.”

She also issued a strong reminder to social-media users: “Owning a smartphone or having access to social media platforms does not give anyone the right to harass, defame or spread hatred. Every action online leaves a trace, and accountability will follow.”

Anupama’s stand has drawn support from fans and colleagues alike. By speaking out, she has highlighted the harmful impact of cyber-bullying even on public figures, and reinforced the message that being in the public eye does not forfeit one’s basic rights. Recently, we have seen many actors facing cyber theats, especially morphed photos, deepfake videos and AI content. Anupama’s action will set an example for sure.
