‘Ayurpatha’ walkathon in Mysuru held on World Ayurveda Day

The Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, organised an awareness campaign, ‘Ayurpatha’, a walkathon, on the occasion of the 10th World Ayurveda Day here on Friday.

The students of the college marched through the streets of Mysuru highlighting the benefits of Ayurveda. The walkathon commenced from the college and concluded at Chandravana, the medicinal plant park of the college on Kukkarahalli Main Road, covering a distance of about 3.5 km.

As part of the programme, a street play was staged at the Ayurveda College Circle to spread the message of Ayurveda. Passers-by watched the play staged by the students.

The walkathon highlighted the importance of Ayurveda in healthcare and lifestyle management. Nearly 500 participants, including students, faculty members of the college, and Ayurveda practitioners took part in the campaign, carrying placards with messages emphasising the value of Ayurveda medicine.

Several dignitaries attended the event and supported the college’s initiative.
