Best Laning/Early Game Items
Warden comes with a low bullet rate, making it hard to get the last hits. That is why Rapid Rounds and High-Velocity Mag are must-have items for you in the lane. Get Mystic Reach to upgrade the potential of your lockdown ability. An early Sprint Boots and Extra Stamina can be ideal for you to gank to other lanes or get to side jungle camps fast.
If the lane stage feels hard, you can increase your survival chances by getting a Restorative Shot or Healing Rite. You can also rush for Slowing Hex early to guarantee more lockdowns and secure kills.
Best Core/Mid-Game Items
Before the timer reaches 10 minutes, buy Quicksilver Reload and add it to the flask. You can increase your farming potential with it, along with Fleetfoot and Combar Barrier. By the time you get Berserker, you will have solid tank capabilities while you have enough firepower. If you are dealing good damage, you can rush Slowing Bullets early and combine it with your third skill.
If the enemy team has many healers, ensure you have Healbane to counter it. In case there are too many stun or control heroes, get Reactive Barrier or Debuff Reducer for some added tankability.
Best Late Game Items
Enduring Speed and Bullet Resist Shredder goes perfectly with a ganking Warden. However, if you want to lock enemies down more, use the Improved Reach first and imbue it with the third skill. You can amplify your damage with the Intensifying Magazine, Burst Fire, and Pristine Emblem.
You can get the Debuff Remover early if the enemy team has Pocket or Abrams. Make sure you adjust the situational items according to the incoming damage. Metal Skin can be perfect against Haze Ultimate. Improved Spirit Armor can be a perfect tank item if the enemy builds more spirit.
Warden Situational/Flex Slot Items
If you want to avoid getting a green item, you can simply get Silencer for that added debuff resist on top of the silence passive. To increase your survival in the fights, Siphon Bullets is a high-priority item. Warden is a front-line tank that will get in the fight and get chomped down by enemies. That is Frenzy and Inhibitor can be the perfect item combination in this Deadlock Warden build.
You can get the Glass Cannon early if you are snowballing the enemies. However, avoid it if you are dying too much in the game. For more tank, you can get Improved Bullet Armor and Unstoppable. If the enemy has Vindicta or Grey Talon, get Phantom Strike to take them down.

Warden Ability Point Order
While Warden has great tank potential, he shines greatly in the lane stages due to the constant flask damage and a stun ability. That is why you must maximize your flask ability to T3 early to get the slow fire rate buff. With that, you must also upgrade your second to keep staying tanky.
After getting T2 on your Willpower, max Last Stand and survive longer during any full-fledged battle. If you are playing a little passive with an already better tank in your team, you can swap your second skill with a third. Maximizing Binding Word early can get you a lot of control potential.
