Doctor rates 8 Ayurvedic herbs that naturally help lower blood pressure

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is more than just a number on a monitor. It’s a silent condition that slowly wears down the heart, arteries, and kidneys. This disease is responsible for about 18 million deaths every year, according to a study published in BMC Public Health. Ayurveda looks at it differently. It sees hypertension as an imbalance in the body’s energy systems, which is triggered by stress, poor diet, or disturbed sleep.
Ayurveda expert Dr Anurati, who works in the field of PCOS, diabetes, and gut health, shares eight herbs that she believes can help bring the system back into balance. Each herb, she believes, works in its own unique way to calm the mind, some strengthen the heart, and some help the body release excess fluid.
