ESPN and Fox team up for a sports-only streaming bundle — here’s how much costs
ESPN and Fox are teaming up to put together a streaming bundle will get you most live sports in a package that might replace your cable or live TV streaming services.
ESPN (owned by Disney) announced that the bundle, which combines ESPN and Fox One (also partially owned by Disney), kicks off today (October 2) for $39. The bundle combines the ESPN streaming service and the Fox One service, which both launched in August.
The combo does save you some money. Separately, the ESPN service costs $29 a month while Fox One will set you back $19/month. So you’ll save $10 a month versus subscribing a la carte.
Importantly, you get access to a lot of channels. Here’s what you can see from ESPN:

- SEC Network Plus

Fox One only has one tier, though there are separate bundles and add-ons from this bundle. Here’s what you get with Fox One:
- FOX News Channel
- FOX Business
- FOX Weather
- FOX Sports
- FS1
- FS2
- FOX Deportes
- B1G
- FOX Local Stations
- FOX Network
Obviously there’s more than just sports here, but if you’re a sports fan about the only thing your missing is Premiere and Champions League soccer.
Plus, its not yet clear how a service like NFL RedZone fits into this bundle. It could be a premium add-on thanks to the recent ESPN deal with the NFL.
Additionally, this bundle isn’t available with Disney.
No Hulu, No Disney Plus
There are some catches to this bundle. For one, the bundle is only available with ESPN Unlimited. The cheaper ESPN Select streaming option can’t be combined with Fox One.
Additionally, ESPN says there is no option to combine this bundle with Disney Plus and Hulu. It’s strange because you can add Disney Plus and Hulu for $5 to ESPN, but you can’t do so with this package.
It’s not clear why Disney isn’t letting you bundle the four services together, beyond perhaps legal issues and the FCC’s “dual network” rule that didn’t let Disney buy every Fox asset when it took over 21st Century Fox in 2019.
Perhaps down the road you’ll be able to pay a bit more for a bundle that includes Disney Plus, ESPN, Fox One and Hulu. It would make it one of the best streaming service packages.
Still, for a sports fan this is an impressive package for the price.
