Govee Electric Space Heaters Recalled for Fire and Burn Risks

The recall: Affects GoveeLife and Govee smart electric space heaters with model numbers H7130 (including the H7130101 variation), H7131, H7132, H7133, H7134, and H7135. The space heaters were sold in black or white with “GoveeLife” or “Govee” printed on the front or side of each unit. The model numbers are on the manufacturer’s label on the underside of each unit. The models range from 9 inches to 26 inches high.

The risk: The affected space heaters can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

Where and when sold: The recalled space heaters were sold at Amazon.com, Govee’s U.S. website, via the Govee Home App, and on the TikTok Shop from September 2021 through September 2024. The space heaters cost $30 to $150.

Incidents and injuries: GoveeLife and Govee have received 113 reports of overheating, including seven reports of fires and one report of a minor burn injury.

The remedy: The CPSC says consumers should immediately stop using the recalled space heaters and contact the brands for a refund. Consumers should unplug the heater, cut the power cord, and send an image of the destroyed heater, manufacturer’s label, and serial number to the GoveeLife recall page. Consumers can also contact GoveeLife or Govee at 833-772-5360 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.

Consumers who provide their original order number will get a refund of the full purchase price (the order number can be found in online purchase records). Consumers who don’t have the original order number will receive a refund ranging from $31.80 to $106.63, depending on the model purchased. Owners can contact heatersupport@goveelife.com for help finding the order number.
