Government to appoint 303 new Ayurvedic doctors

A total of 303 graduates, including medical officers of health, will be appointed to the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Medical Service tomorrow (3) under the patronage of Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa at the Colombo District Secretariat Auditorium.

The Health Ministry said this is the largest recruitment to the Ayurvedic sector since 2018, aimed at strengthening local Ayurvedic healthcare and improving patient services.

The new recruits have received comprehensive training under senior Ayurvedic specialists and will be assigned to central government and provincial Ayurvedic hospitals across the country, with particular focus on regions affected by communicable and non-communicable diseases, including kidney-related conditions.
