It’s not been an entirely slick operation this year. Some suspected funny business resulted in Deni Avdija getting a bigger share of the vote than all but 12 players — despite not being a household name, the Portland Trail Blazers small forward came out above even LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
And after the withdrawals of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo left Team World short-handed, Norman Powell was shifted from USA Stripes.
