Is Fortnite Down? Update 33.20 Downtime Schedule
As gamers, we can’t stop getting excited over all the Fortnite updates that come out. Today’s highlight is the Fortnite V33.20 update which comes out with a host of new changes including Hatsune Miku taking the stage along with Godzilla and Kong making their boss appearances. As such, Fortnite is down to bring that update for us. So if you’re wondering when it will be up, here’s the V33.20 downtime schedule.

Fortnite V33.20 Downtime Schedule
Fornite Status X account officially confirmed the end of the downtime with an X post. Fortnite server downtime started at 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM PT today, January 14. So if you have witnessed the ‘Fortnite Servers not responding’ text in the game, it’s normal.

However, you can check when the servers are back online. The best way to know about the Fortnite server status is by checking the official Epic Games status website. On this site, you will notice any ongoing issues related to the game and other Epic services. As of now, the scheduled maintenance for Fortnite Chapter 6 v33.20 is ongoing. So if your Fortnite server is not responding, then don’t worry, as you’re not the only one.
On the website, a message with the header ‘Downtime for v33.20 Update’ says, “Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.” When the downtime ends, the “under maintenance” text will go away.
According to the previous updates and Epic Games schedules, this maintenance could take up to 2-4 hours. This is also when the Fortnite servers will come back on.
