New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Jay Kelly, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills + More
Noah Baumbach penned his newest film, Jay Kelly, with writer/actress Emily Mortimer. Mortimer appears in the film, which stars George Clooney as an actor reflecting on his life and career while on a trip through Europe. Adam Sandler, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, and Laura Dern also star; the film is available now on Netflix. Over on Disney+, you can catch Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, an animated feature-length adaptation of the Jeff Kinney graphic novel. And on Peacock, Rachel Zoe joins the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills which is back for season 15.
New on Netflix December 5: Jay Kelly
Noah Baumbach’s latest film stars George Clooney as aging Hollywood actor Jay Kelly as he takes a trip through Europe. Though he initially hopes to reconnect with his daughter. before he heads off to college, the trip becomes a journey of self-reflection for Jay, whose movie star swagger gives way to his more vulnerable side as he deals with his age and relationships.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, which arrived on Disney+ this Friday, was written and produced by the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, Jeff Kinney. It’s the fourth animated film featuring Greg Heffley, based on the third book in the series, and the movie leans into the holidays a little more as Greg and his dad deal with their differences as Greg is sent on a winter adventure to live up to his dad’s manly expectations.
Season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered on Bravo this Thursday, and it’s now streaming on Peacock, too. This season Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Dorit Kemsley, and Bozoma Saint John have returned, and they’re joined by Rachel Zoe and Amanda Frances, too. (Expect visits from Kathy Hilton, Jennifer Tilly and Denise Richards, too.) New episodes drop weekly on Thursdays on Bravo and Fridays on Peacock.
