Karisma Kapoor Seeking Share in Ex‑Husband Sunjay Kapur’s ₹30,000 Crore Estate After His Death; Reports –

In an evolving world, emerging research continues to highlight concerns that could impact everyday wellbeing. Here’s the key update you should know about:

Karisma Kapoor seeking share in Sunjay Kapur’s 30,000 crore estate:

Popular Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, former wife of the late industrialist Sunjay Kapur, is reportedly seeking a share in his vast estate—estimated to be around ₹30,000 crore—following his sudden demise on June 12, 2025. While no public statement has been made by the Raja Hindustani actress herself, or her team, her name has surfaced in recent media reports amidst a bitter family estate dispute. Karisma divorced Sunjay in 2016 and has taken an alimony.

Sunjay Kapur, known for heading Sona Comstar, a leading global auto components company valued at approximately Rs. 31,000 crore—passed away during a polo match in the UK, reportedly due to a heart attack triggered after swallowing a bee. At the time, his personal net worth was estimated at ₹10,300 crore ( approx. $1.2 billion), which includes assets separate from the business evaluation.

After his death, his wife Priya Sachdev is set to inherit his estate under statutory provisions. Meanwhile, his mother, Rani Kapur, has laid claim as majority stakeholder in the Sona Group and accused others of attempting to usurp the family inheritance—she has explicitly denied authorizing anyone as the company’s representative.

Reports also indicate that Karisma’s children with Sunjay—Samaira and Kiaan—received financial provisions during the 2016 divorce, including ₹14 crore in bonds and steady monthly income, while Karisma was transferred ownership of a flat in Khar as part of the settlement.

Whether Karisma Kapoor herself intends a legal claim remains speculative. Her involvement may stem from ongoing estate proceedings, rather than any formal demand. Hopefully, an official statement from her or her her team will come soon and put an end to all these specifications.
