It’s hard to argue that Netflix UK hasn’t had a pretty good streak over the last two years. From The Gentlemen to Baby Reindeer in 2024 and Adolescence and Dept. Q in 2025, they’ve been on it. What’s coming up next? Below, we’ll take a look at Netflix’s upcoming British slate coming over the next year or so.
As we’ve covered when looking at the British slate of new titles from Netflix, lines can get a bit blurry about what counts as a UK/US show. Bridgerton, for example, is filmed in the UK and features a predominantly British cast, yet it’s still counted as a US show. There are a few other examples, such as the reality series for Squid Game (which will return for season 3), but that’s the most prominent.
In alphabetical order, here’s what new movies and series from the UK are coming up:
Alley Cats (Season 1)
Coming to Netflix in 2026
Although comedian and creator Ricky Gervais has been active with Netflix with stand-up specials, his scripted output has been all quiet since the end of After Life, which will soon be coming up on four years (!) ago. Thankfully, the long wait will come to an end in 2026 with the arrival of Alley Cats, a new animated series that’ll see Gervais reunite with many of his former After Life stars for a comedy that’ll see him riffing as they play feral cats from all walks of society.
No release date yet, but we suspect this will be in the back half of 2026.
At Home with the Furys (Season 2)
Coming to Netflix in 2026

It’s been long rumored that the reality series featuring British boxer Tyson Fury would return for a second outing on Netflix, and we finally got that confirmation in 2025. We’d finally get to spend some more time with the Furys. For those unfamiliar, the show follows Tyson and his ballooning family in his retirement, which might even be more complex work than getting beaten up for a living.
Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials
Coming to Netflix on January 15th, 2025

Picture: Netflix
Agatha Christie’s novels are as timeless as they come. Every novel has you gripped from the off, and it should be no surprise that they’ve been the source for many movie and TV adaptations over the years. First for Netflix, however, will be Seven Dials, a short-but-sweet three-episode mini-series due out in mid-January 2026.
Becoming Gordon Ramsey (Season 1)
Confirmed to release on Netflix in 2026

Picture: Getty Images
Get ready for an unprecedented, intimate look into the life of the world’s most famous chef. This upcoming docuseries follows Gordon Ramsay over a high-stakes nine-month period as he prepares for his biggest restaurant venture to date: the launch of five distinct culinary experiences inside London’s tallest building, 22 Bishopsgate. Directed by Dionne Bromfield, the series moves beyond the kitchen shouting matches to capture the genuine pressure of expanding a global empire in a post-pandemic world.
Dept. Q (Season 2)
Expected to Start Production in Early 2026

One of my personal favorites for 2025 has been the crime mystery series Dept. Q, headlined by Matthew Goode. It’s quintessentially British in tone and featured a riveting plotline that felt incredibly satisfying by the time you got to the end. Not every story thread was closed, however, and thankfully, Netflix opted to renew the series. Production is due to get underway in 2026, and it’s currently unclear whether it’ll be done in time for a return next year, but fingers crossed, we hear more soon.
Grown Ups
May Release in 2026

Grown Ups is an eight-part family drama set in South County Dublin, following the Casey family, a loud, loyal, and complicated clan whose lives are thrown into turmoil when their so-called “good son” dies unexpectedly. The loss forces everyone to confront old resentments, tangled relationships, and the messy realities of adulthood, even as they cling to love and humor to keep going. Created by Samantha Strauss from Marian Keyes’s bestselling novel and produced by See-Saw Films, the ensemble cast includes Aisling Bea, Sinéad Cusack, Adrian Dunbar, Sarah Greene, Robert Sheehan, and Barry Ward, with production underway in Ireland as of earlier in 2025.
Heartstopper: Forever
Confirmed for release in 2026

The beloved coming-of-age romance returns, but this time Nick and Charlie face their most adult hurdle yet: the looming reality of university. With Nick preparing to leave and Charlie finding new independence at Truham, the anxiety of a potential long-distance relationship threatens to fracture their inseparable bond. As doubts creep in, the couple is forced to confront a question familiar to many high school sweethearts: can a first love survive the distance of the real world?
It isn’t just the central couple facing big changes; the entire friend group is navigating the bittersweet “end of an era” feelings that come with growing up and moving on. Creator Alice Oseman returns to pen the script, joined this season by acclaimed director Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette). Notably, stars Kit Connor and Joe Locke have stepped up as Executive Producers for this chapter, promising a season that treats the characters’ emotional maturity with the same care as their first spark.
How to Get To Heaven from Belfast (Season 1)
Confirmed for release on February 1st, 2026

How To Get To Heaven From Belfast Season 1. Sinead Keenan as Robyn Winters, Caoilfhionn Dunne as Dara Friel, Roisin Gallagher as Saoirse Shaw. Cr. Christopher Barr/Netflix
From the creative mind behind the global smash hit Derry Girls, Lisa McGee returns with a sharp, chaotic, and genre-bending new series. Premiering in February 2026, the show follows three childhood best friends, TV writer Saoirse, stressed-out mom Robyn, and dependable carer Dara, now in their late 30s. Their tight-knit dynamic is upended when they receive news of the death of Greta, an estranged fourth member of their childhood gang. What starts as a wake quickly spirals into a “dark, dangerous, and hilarious odyssey” across Ireland as the trio tries to piece together the truth about the past.
Directed by Michael Lennox, who also helmed Derry Girls, the series promises to blend a gripping mystery with McGee’s signature biting wit. The cast’s lead trio consists of Roísín Gallagher, Sinéad Keenan, and Caoilfhionn Dunne. The supporting cast, which includes heavyweights like Michelle Fairley and Ardal O’Hanlon, looks set to be one of Netflix’s standout comedies of the year.
How To Kill Your Family
Expected to Start Production in 2026

Picture: Getty Images
Anya Taylor-Joy leads this new planned series as Grace Bernard, the forgotten illegitimate daughter of ruthless billionaire Simon Artemis. After her dying mother’s pleas for help are coldly rejected by her absentee father, Grace transforms her grief into a meticulous and deadly purpose: killing off her estranged extended family one by one to clear her path to the inheritance she believes is hers.
Adapted from Bella Mackie’s best-selling novel, the series comes from the producers of Killing Eve and writer Emma Moran. Production was at one point due to get underway in early 2026 although more recently it’s been suggested its London shoot won’t begin until the Fall.
Legends (Season 1)
Confirmed for 2026

Set in the early 1990s, this series follows a top-secret operation launched when Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise struggled to stem the tide of drug smuggling into Britain. A small group of ordinary employees from across the UK was pulled from their everyday lives, given only minimal training, and sent undercover to infiltrate some of the country’s most dangerous criminal networks, adopting carefully crafted new identities known as Legends.
Created and written by Neil Forsyth, the series features an impressive cast including Tom Burke, Steve Coogan, Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Douglas Hodge, Tom Hughes, Johnny Harris, Gerald Kyd, and Charlotte Ritchie, produced by Tannadice Pictures in association with Lion Television. Filming on the series took place across the Northern parts of England throughout 2025.
Living the Dream (Season 1)
In Production

From BAFTA-nominated creator George Gendi and Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe comes a sharp new workplace satire for the adult animation block. The series centers on Des and Ray, two Londoners who are convinced they are destined for greatness but are currently stuck in the mundanity of reality. Instead of living the high life, they are grinding away in the social media department of “Ecofood,” a self-righteous corporate entity where the pay is low and the virtue-signaling is high.
With a voice cast featuring heavy hitters like Julia Davis (Sally4ever) and Ambika Mod (One Day), plus animation from Boulder Media, this 8-episode series looks to be a cheeky, relatable send-up of “making it” in the gig economy.
Love is Blind: UK (Season 3)
Confirmed for Summer 2026 Release

Picture: Netflix
In production in 2025, the UK spin-off of the reality dating series will return with new episodes in 2026.
Per Netflix, “Love Is Blind: UK S3 will see singles talk to a host of potential love interests without the distractions from the outside world, with the hope of building a meaningful connection. Once Cupid’s work is done, they will propose to their chosen partner and then lay their eyes on their fiancé for the first time. Engaged and back in the real world, as the couple plans their wedding day, they will attempt to add a physical connection to their emotional bond. When their much-awaited wedding day arrives, will they discover that love is indeed blind? Or will the realities of everyday life and external factors have sabotaged them? Matt and Emma Willis will guide the hopeful singles on their path to finding true love.”
Out of the Dust
May Release in 2026

Picture: Netflix
Out of the Dust is described as a “tense psychological drama” about Rosie, who lives with her husband, Adam, and their young daughter in a strict, isolated Christian community. When Sam, an escaped prisoner, arrives seeking refuge, his presence begins to expose the cracks in Rosie’s marriage and the unsettling control of the community around her. As Rosie grows closer to Sam, she must confront whether the real danger lies within the cult-like world she has been taught to trust or with the stranger she is drawn to.
Created by Julie Gearey, the series stars Asa Butterfield, Molly Windsor, Fra Fee, Christopher Eccleston, and Siobhan Finneran.
Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man & New Series (Continuation Series)
Film to release in March 2026, with new seasons in production from early 2026

Pictures: Netflix
Wrapped now well over a year ago, our big return to the world of Peaky Blinders will finally come in March 2026 with The Immortal Man, which will likely be the closing chapter of Tommy Shelby.
Further to the big new movie, Netflix is also working with the BBC on two additional new series that’ll serve as a follow-up to the movie with new cast expected to join the fray. The official description, courtesy of the BBC, reads, “Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.” Production is due to get underway in early 2026.
Pride and Prejudice
May Release in 2026

Picture: Netflix
Love a British period drama? Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is probably already on your all-time favorites list along with its various adaptations. Adding to that long list of prior adaptations, Netflix is set to release a six-part adaptation following Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy as they clash, misunderstand each other, and gradually fall in love while navigating family pressures, social expectations, and their own stubborn pride.
Developed by Dolly Alderton and produced by Lookout Point, the series centers on the Bennet sisters as they search for happiness and security in a world where reputation and marriage can determine a woman’s future. Emma Corrin leads the cast as Elizabeth Bennet, with Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy and Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, filming in and around London up until late November 2025.
Project Codename
In Production, Expected In 2026

PIX BY MARK CAMPBELL/MCPIX
A lot of secrecy surrounds this new British crime thriller from Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker, alongside a slew of other writers, and Al Campbell helming behind the camera. The description paints the following picture: “A gritty detective from the bleak Northern town of Bleakford heads to London, pursuing a ritualistic murderer in a desperate race to stop their killing spree.”
Beyond that, we know it’s been filming in Northern England throughout much of the second half of 2025 and that Lena Headey, Paddy Considine, and Georgina Campbell are amongst the confirmed cast. Could there be a few twists and turns before this project comes out? We’ll have to wait and see.
Run Away (Limited Series)
Coming to Netflix on January 1st, 2026

Harlan Coben returns to Netflix to kick off the new year with another gripping, twist-filled mystery. This time, James Nesbitt stars as Simon, a man whose picture-perfect life was shattered when his eldest daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange), ran away. When he finally locates her years later—vulnerable and strung out in a city park—his desperate attempt to bring her home spirals into a violent confrontation that changes everything.
With a script by Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once) and a supporting cast that includes Minnie Driver and Ruth Jones, this new thriller continues Netflix’s UK recent trend of releasing new Coben series on New Year’s Day, and long may that trend continue.
Supacell (Season 2)
In Production

It took a bit longer than most would’ve liked, but the excellent and highly lauded superhero series Supacell finally got into production in the latter months of 2025, and while that doesn’t mean it’ll definitely hit in 2026, our fingers and toes are crossed.
Take That
Confirmed for Release in January 2026

Photo by Bryn Lennon – Formula 1/Formula 1 via Getty Images
For over three decades, Take That has defined British pop music, delivering 12 chart-topping hits and weathering every high and low imaginable. This definitive docuseries tells the full story of one of the UK’s most successful boy bands, from their meteoric 90s rise and dramatic split to their triumphant comeback. Produced by Fulwell 73 (the team behind Bros: After the Screaming Stops and Sunderland ‘Til I Die) and directed by David Soutar.
The Boys From Brazil
In Production in Early 2026

The Crown creator Peter Morgan reunites with executive producer Suzanne Mackie for a bold, high-prestige reimagining of Ira Levin’s classic conspiracy thriller. This five-part limited series spans three decades—from the ashes of WWII to the turbulent 1970s—centering on Yakov Liebermann (Jeremy Strong), a Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter consumed by a lifelong quest for justice. His mission takes a terrifying turn when he discovers that Dr. Johann-Friedrich Meinhardt (August Diehl), a sadistic scientist thought to be dead, is actually alive in Brazil and orchestrating a diabolical plan to ignite a Fourth Reich.
The series boasts a staggering ensemble cast, with Daniel Brühl and Gillian Anderson joining the ranks as key players in this international game of cat and mouse. Directed by Alex Gabassi (Black Doves), the show is described as part historical thriller and part moral reckoning, asking who will fight to keep history’s darkest memories alive when the world chooses to forget. With filming set to commence across Europe, this promises to be one of Netflix’s most significant upcoming drama events.
The Gentlemen (Season 2)
Expected to Return in 2026

Picture: Netflix
As we’ve been tracking, The Gentlemen is expected to come back bigger and better than the first season, with Guy Ritchie once again amongst the directors’ list for the returning crime drama. It was filmed throughout much of 2025 across the United Kingdom and a very luxurious excursion over to Italy, and we’ve also got word of plenty of big names joining the cast.
The Witcher (Season 5)
Expected to Return in 2026

This is another one that technically falls on the blurred line between a British and a US show, but given the final season was filmed in the UK throughout much of the production, we’re going to include it anyway. What can be said about The Witcher at this point? While it certainly still has its dedicated fanbase, it’s hard to argue that Netflix got what it wanted out of the big fantasy series. Still, it’s coming back for one final adventure to say goodbye to Ciri, Yennifer, and Geralt.
The Witness (Season 1)
Confirmed for Release in 2026
Based on one of the most shocking crimes in British history, this emotional drama series shifts the focus from the perpetrator to the survivors of the 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common. The story centers on Rachel’s partner, André Hanscombe, who became a single parent overnight, and their son Alex, who—at just two years old—was the sole eyewitness to the attack. The series follows André’s desperate battle to protect his traumatized son from an intrusive media frenzy and a faltering police investigation, prioritizing Alex’s welfare above all else.
Created by Rob Williams and produced by STV Studios, The Witness is described as a journey “from darkness into light.” Adding to the project’s sensitivity and authenticity, the real-life Alex and André Hanscombe have boarded the project as consultants. Rather than a standard procedural, this promises to be a poignant exploration of the bond between a father and son as they navigate the aftermath of an unimaginable tragedy.
These are all the confirmed projects from Netflix UK. There have also been plenty of trade reports about titles in active development, but until we hear they’re greenlit, we won’t be including them on this list. We’ll have more as and when we get it!
