Unpleasant adventure for Giuseppe Corrado, president of the Pisa club, who has become the victim of a robbery at his villa in Forte dei Marmi, in the province of Lucca.
According to “La Nazione”, the robbery occurred on the morning of August 3, while the family was still asleep.
The thieves forced open a window, managing to enter without arousing suspicion.
Once inside, they found the keys to the Porsche Cayenne parked in the yard, which allowed them to not only start the luxury SUV, but also open the villa’s gate using the same remote control.
The car traveled to Rome, where it stopped in a certain area, most likely a workshop.
There, the satellite system was apparently deactivated and removed, permanently eliminating traces of the car.
According to investigators, the operation was apparently organized by a group of professional thieves.
The hypothesis is that after removing the GPS in Rome, the criminals continued their escape to return to Versilia or to parallel networks distributing such goods, Panorama reports.
The theft is part of a series of similar incidents in the area, a summer destination for many entrepreneurs and sports personalities.
