Volkswagen Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport SUVs Recalled for Fire Risk

• Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport SUVs manufactured between June 16, 2023, and Dec. 9, 2024

The problem: If the engine cover is not properly reinstalled after a vehicle service, it could come into contact with a hot surface such as the exhaust or turbocharger. This could increase the risk of melting and/or fire.

The fix: Volkswagen dealerships will remove the plastic engine cover, free of charge.
