Weatherby Healthcare opens new hub in Wake County :: WRAL.com

Weatherby Healthcare is growing its footprint in North
Carolina with a new hub in Wake County.

The company celebrated the opening of a
new office space in One North Hills Tower.

The move is anticipated to bring 150 new high-paying jobs
and generate $400 million in revenue for Wake County.

The health care staffing company is part of Utah-based CHG
Healthcare Services and employs more than 300 people in North Carolina. The
company connects healthcare providers with medical facilities with vacancies, particularly
in specialty roles.

Mike DePaolis, president of Weatherby Healthcare, shared the
company has already started the hiring process for the new location.

“We are hiring. We
are a forward hiring company and we hire in anticipation of growth within our
sales team,” DePaolis told WRAL news. “I’ve been with the organization for 18 years.
I started in a North Carolina office and we had roughly 20 people at the time. Now, we’re well over 300.”

Weatherby Healthcare currently works with 34 clients
statewide. Nearly 400 providers currently working across North Carolina through
the company have helped more than 300,000 patients.

WRAL news previously reported the new roles are expected to carry an average salary
of $205,000, far above the Wake County average.

DePaolis shared the company landed on North Hills after previously
considering Downtown and Fenton due to the available amenities nearby, allowing
staff to contribute to the local economy.

Weatherby Healthcare joins a growing list of companies
moving into North Hills. Just a few floors away, Jewelers Mutual Group similarly
announced plans to add 200 high-paying jobs by 2029 as part of a new
innovation hub in One North Hills Tower.
