Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 27868 for computers enrolled in the Canary Channel. This is a small update that brings visual changes for Voice Access and a few bug fixes.

According to the official changes, build 27868 brings an updated version of the Voice Access experience that will announce new features and improvements when they become available to make them easier to discover and learn.

On devices with support for digital ink, Windows 11 is addressing an issue causing the app to be non-responsive.

This flight also fixes the error code 0x80070032 when launching specific applications and addresses rendering issues with the Group Policy Editor.

The development team also notes that this build in the Canary Channel fixes a Blue Screen of Death with the “SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED” message.

Finally, the company is publishing several known issues that you should be aware of, including problems with Copilot+ PCs, Task Manager, Group Policy Editor, Taskbar, audio, and virtualization.

It has been some time since Microsoft released any significant improvements in the Canary Channel, and many users have abandoned this channel. However, the company is aware of this, and in an X post, Brandon LeBlanc, Principal Product Manager at Microsoft, has noted that the development team is working on bringing “more goodies” to the Canary Channel.

Installation process

To download and install this Windows 11 build, enroll your device in the Canary Channel through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by turning on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option and clicking the “Check for Updates” button.
