Amazon’s Incredible “Buy 2 Get 1 Free” 4K Blu-ray Sale Is Back for October Prime Day

Amazon’s latest Prime-exclusive sale, Prime Big Deal Days (aka October Prime Day), is now live through October 7-8, but the best deal in the sale doesn’t even need a Prime membership to access it. The incredibly popular 3-for-2 promotion across physical media is back, and includes one of the best selections of 4K Blu-rays for film and TV that I’ve ever come across.

This is a sale perfect for both collectors and casual fans looking to fill out their physical collections, and when we take a look at what’s on offer, you’ll see what’s got me so hyped.

4K UHD Blu-rays: Buy 2, Get 1 Free Sale

Truthfully, I had quite a tough time trying to whittle this sale down and pick out what I want to highlight, but there are so many absolute bangers here that I think are undoubtedly worth picking up while you can. Trust me when I say it’s worth having a proper browse through the selection at Amazon as well (see here), as there’s no way I could’ve fit in everything that’s worth checking out.

Now, the lineup this time around is unbelieably stacked. Just for starters, there’s Fallout Season 1, Deadpool & Wolverine, Oppenheimer, Kill Bill, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and sooooo much more.

It’s also a massive turn up for trilogies, with some of my personal favorites of all-time included like Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films, The Dark Knight, The Mummy, Back to the Future, The Lord of the Rings, and even Bill & Ted’s Most Triumphant Trilogy – most excellent! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg as well, this sale goes a lot deeper than you might think.

So how does the offer work? It’s as simple as it is effective: buy two, get a third item free. Just add three qualifying products to your basket and the cheapest one gets knocked off the total at checkout.

The deal scales with your cart, as well, so the more you bundle, the more you save. Grab six items, get two free, and so on. You can also mix and match categories, with eligible books, board games, puzzles, and vinyl included alongside movies and TV box sets. Hot recent releases like Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets and SenLinYu’s Alchemised are also included.

As always, Amazon’s search filters are still remarkably outdated for this kind of promo, labeling every movie and TV show as ‘DVD’ even when it’s a 4K release. Thankfully, the sale page itself is much easier to navigate once you’re in. And if Amazon doesn’t have the version you’re after, Target has a nearly identical 3-for-2 offer with plenty of overlap in stock.

More 4K Deals Are Available for Prime Members

All TV and Movie Deals

Besides the Buy 2 Get 1 free promotion, Amazon has also rolled out a spread of deep discounts on individual 4K and Blu-ray releases exclusively for Prime members. We’re already seeing all-time low prices on horror hits like Sinners and Final Destination: Bloodlines, a spread of anime Blu-rays, and TV collections like Twin Peaks: From Z-A. If you’re already a member, I once again recommend going on a scrolling journey, and if you’re not a member, there’s no harm in trying out a 30-day free trial.

Should I Wait for More Prime Day Deals?

So, should you wait for October Prime Day to really kick off? Not for this one. It’s already live, it’s one of the strongest offers you’ll find this week, and you don’t even need a Prime account to grab it.

If you still value owning your favorite films outright instead of relying on the shrinking selection of streaming libraries, this is exactly the kind of deal worth jumping on.

This sale just followed up from one of the best 4K film sales Amazon has had in a long time, and this might just be able to top it. I’m rather impressed, and highly recommending everyone to at least take a look at the new sale.

Let me know in the comments what you decide to pick up, and stay locked to IGN for more Amazon Prime Day updates this week, and eventually plenty of Black Friday deals as well.
