All Autobots and Decepticons Appearing in Transformers One

Transformers One is set to release soon and I can’t begin to explain how hyped I am to see this animated flick in the theaters. Two trailers have been released for Transformers One featuring some of the Autobots and Decepticons we are going to see in this movie. Here, find out about all the 11 confirmed Autobots and Decepticons appearing in Transformers One.

1. Orion Pax/Optimus Prime

First, the most iconic character in the history of Transformers, Optimus Prime, is returning to Transformers One with his origin story. However, this time, Optimus Prime or Orion Pax is being voiced by Chris Hemsworth instead of Mr. Peter Cullen. This is the first time a different actor will voice the leader of Autobots and based on the trailers of Transformers One, it’s safe to say that Chris Hemsworth is a good choice to play Optimus.

2. B-127/ Bumblebee

If we talk about the most iconic character in Transformers, it’s Optimus Prime. However, when it comes to the most loved character in the franchise, the answer cannot be someone else other than Bumblebee. He is a relatively young Autobot and according to Optimus Prime, he is more like a teenager in his conduct.

He is also smaller than most Decepticons he fights but his composure makes him swift and unpredictable in combat. In Transformers One, Bumblebee can still speak so there is a possibility that we might get to see him losing his voice box in a way different than what we saw in the Bumblebee movie.

3. D-16/ Megatron

Transformers One will also give us the origin of Megatron and how he turned out to be the biggest enemy of Optimus Prime. In the live-action Transformers movies, we have been told multiple times that Megatron and Optimus used to be like brothers before Megatron became the leader of The Decepticons.

However, there are multiple stories that tell us about how Prime and Megatron went from friends to enemies. There are accounts where Megatron was literally the brother of Optimus Prime who went evil because of jealousy but Transformers One tells us that they were best friends which is a gentle nod to live-action movies.

4. Alpha Trion

This is the first time we are going to see Alpha Trion appearing on screen; he is the oldest Autobot and has immense power and knowledge. According to the lore of Transformers, he is the one who rebuilt Orion Pax when he was heavily injured after Megatron attacked him and gave him training to be Optimus. Later Alpha Trion made him the leader of Autobots after Sentinel Prime died, hence making him Optimus Prime.

5. Elita One

Another character that has been seen multiple times in animation has made her way to the big screen. Elita One will be appearing in Transformers One. Before becoming Elita One, she was known as Ariel and dated Optimus Prime. Her powers make her incredibly special since she is probably the only canon Autobot who can stop time. However, she does it only when it is absolutely necessary. Now, we will have to wait till Transformers One is live in theaters to see how big of a role she is going to play.

6. Sentinel Prime

Sentinel Prime has appeared multiple times in animation and comic books and has also played the antagonist in the 2011 live-action Transformers movie, Transformers: Dark of The Moon. Sentinel Prime used to be the leader of the Autobots, however, after he was killed, during the War of Cybertron, Alpha Trion turned Orion Pax into Optimus Prime and he grew to be the leader of the Autobots. While there is enough lore around Sentinel Prime, there is less known about how his story will be executed in Transformers One.

7. Starscream

Starscream is another character that has appeared in multiple Transformers projects including the live-action ones. He is typically depicted as the second-in-command of the Decepticons and serves Megatron as his master. However, in the trailer for Transformers One, we see him on a throne so we can assume that before Megatron came into power, Starscream was the leader of Decepticons. This also explains his constant desire to overthrow Megatron we have seen multiple times in almost every Transformers project including the live-action movies.

8. Shockwave

Another Decepticon confirmed to appear in Transformers One is Shockwave. We have seen this Decepticon in multiple Transformers projects with the most recent one being in Transformers: Dark of The Moon and his brief cameo in the Bumblebee movie. Shockwave is known to be an emotionless Decepticon who operates solely on logic and is often credited to be the smartest Decepticon in the entire faction.

9. Airachnid

Transformers One will also bring in the first film debut of Airachnid. She is neither a Decepticon nor an Autobot but chooses sides based on what is best for her and where she can gain more power. She is characterized by her spider-like appearance. However, as of now, the extent of her role is unknown in Transformers One and we will have to wait till the movie releases to find out what role she is going to play.

10. Soundwave

Soundwave is confirmed to appear in Transformers One and it seems that while Starscream is the leader of Decepticons, Soundwave is his right-hand man. Starscream last made an appearance in Transformers: Dark of The Moon and had a brief cameo in Bumblebee. However, the extent of his role is not known as of now and will only be revealed with the release of Transformers One.

11. Darkwing

Another Decepticon confirmed to appear in Transformers One is Darkwing. Based on the trailer of Transformers One it is known that Darkwing is the boss of Orion Pax and D-16 when they worked as miners. Transformers One has also kept the original design of Darkwing giving him his signature blue and purple colour scheme.

So, that is all of the Autobots and Decepticons confirmed to appear in Transformers One. Transformers One will be released in theaters on September 20, 2024, in the US.
