Our Overall Score encompasses a vehicle’s performance in our road tests; the latest results from the reliability and owner satisfaction sections of CR’s exclusive Annual Auto Surveys; the availability of automatic emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection, AEB that works at highway speeds, blind spot warning (BSW), and rear cross traffic warning (RCTW); and results from government and insurance industry crash tests, if they’re available.
The sedans below are listed in order of their Overall Score and range from compact models to full-sized ones. We have models powered by gasoline engines, hybrids that use a combination of a gas engine and electric motor, and fully electric models that use single or multiple motors to move down the road.
Some of these models have our Green Choice designation, which highlights the vehicles with the cleanest emissions.
