Best SMG Loadouts in Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded

The high-octane nature of Black Ops 6 multiplayer results in plenty of close-combat encounters, and when it comes to these gunfights, SMGs are the go-to class. They offer excellent mobility, rapid fire rates, and insane TTK figures, which is why they garner high pick rates across all multiplayer modes. To make sure you aren’t lagging behind the competition, it’s essential to use one of the meta SMGs and pair it with the best Attachments. With this in mind, here are our picks for the best SMG loadouts in Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded.

1. KSV

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Stock: Infiltrator Stock
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

The KSV remained untouched by the Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded update, meaning it’s still the best SMG around. The compact weapon shines as the distance between you and your opponents decreases, thanks to its insane TTK of 225 ms. Despite its firepower, the SMG is relatively accurate and impressively mobile, so maneuvering around enemies feels incredibly swift.

Its recoil and damage range leave more to be desired, which is exactly where our recommended loadout comes in. The Compensator Muzzle paired with the Long Barrel helps boost both these attributes, while the Infiltrator Stock lends a slight increase to its ADS movement speed. Since the KSV features a clean pair of iron sights, you could easily run it without using an Optic.

2. C9

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

The C9’s appearance and attributes have invited comparisons with the classic MP5, and for good reason. This versatile SMG is well-balanced, offering a fine-tuned blend of accuracy, low recoil, range, and raw damage output. While it can get outgunned by SMGs like the KSV or the Kompakt 92, the weapon’s ease of use more than makes up for it.

Our recommended loadout for C9 further improves its stability, while also buffing its damage range. As a result, you’ll end up with a nearly zero-recoil SMG that feels incredibly satisfying to use.

3. Tanto .22

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

The Tanto .22 might be a bit of an acquired taste due to its unusual fire rate, but the SMG packs plenty of power behind each shot. In the hands of precise players, the Tanto can down enemies at a relentless rate, especially if the fire is concentrated around the upper torso. Its slow fire rate results in less recoil as compared to the SMGs like the KSV or Jackal, which is always a plus. While the weapon may seem too sluggish at first, we highly recommend giving it a chance.

If you do end up trying out the weapon, make sure to pair the Compensator and Vertical Foregrip to offset the recoil gains from the Rapid Fire mod.

4. Jackal PDW

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

Once the undisputed king of the Black Ops 6 SMG meta, the Jackal PDW was dragged down to its current mid-table slumber thanks to heavy Season 3 nerfs. Its damage range and output now lag behind the KSV and C9, but if you’ve spent hours leveling the Jackal up, it’s still worth using.

The SMG’s blistering fire rate remains a nuisance across small and mid-sized maps, while its TTK is formidable, to say the least. To increase its decreased damage range, use our recommended loadout.

5. PPSh-41

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I

The classic WW2 SMG is the definition of spray and pray. It’s not the most versatile, it chews through ammo at an unsustainable rate, and its recoil pattern is also all over the place. Despite all this, the PPSh-41 can be a joy to use, especially when you catch enemies at close range and proceed to mow them down in milliseconds. The best attribute of the SMG is undoubtedly its devastating fire rate, which can be tricky to tame but is satisfying to master.

In terms of Attachments, we’ve chosen some fairly standard options. Most important among them are the Compensator and Long Barrel to improve the PSSh-41’s recoil and damage range.

6. Saug

  • Optic: Kepler Microflex
  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

The Saug impressed when it released alongside the Season 2 update for BO6. However, the gun has failed to establish itself in the meta since. It has all the hallmark traits of a formidable SMG, including a rapid fire rate and a fast TTK, but it is outperformed in other metrics by the absolute meta weapons. The lack of effective damage range also makes the Saug hard to recommend. Although some of its faults can be improved using the loadout mentioned above.

7. PP-919

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Magazine: Fast Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

The PP-919, also known as the Bizon, ranks so low on the list due to its lack of firepower. This is especially felt at close ranges where the Jackal PDW and the KSV can easily outgun the SMG. With that being said, the Bizon offers laser-like precision due to its remarkably low recoil and top-tier stability, making it a highly accessible weapon.

8. Kompakt 92

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip

Ranking dead last on our list is the Kompakt 92, and that’s despite having the highest TTK in the entire class. The reason behind this is the SMG’s shortcomings in almost every other department. Its recoil is far too unwieldy, the damage falloff at medium ranges is too drastic, and the handling is just not up to code. Our loadout can help salvage something from the Kompakt 92, but we recommend using the weapon primarily for small maps.

That wraps up our list ranking the best SMG loadouts in Black Ops 6 Season 3 Reloaded. Which is your favorite SMG on the list? Let us know in the comments.
