Base building is always the most fun experience in survival and MMORPG games. As Dune Awakening is a mixture of both genres, base building is crucial here. Building bases in the right locations can decrease your grind by half, while doing the opposite can make life in Arrakis a literal hell. Best Dune Awakening Base Locations

Dune Awakening has many different areas, each with unique resources. Some places are incredible for building bases, while others would only make your life a hassle in Arrakis. I have noted down the best base locations in Dune Awakening, so head there quickly and claim your land before others arrive.

1. Best Base Location in Hagga Basin

Hagga Basin is the very first location you will arrive at when starting a new game on Dune Awakening. Here, you will be taught how to build a base and eventually abandon it once you move to Vermillius Gap. Creating a base with too many resources here is a waste of time, so set up a small base when asked and make your operations in the area from there.

The best place to set up a base in Hagga Basin is near Griffin’s Reach Tradepost. You will be running to this place quite often, so it is simply best to have a base near it. Also, this place has many Copper and Granite deposits nearby, making it ideal for your preliminary base. There are also some enemy camps nearby where you can extract a ton of blood and later turn it into water.

2. Best Base Location in Vermillius Gap

Once you have finished your work in Hagga Basin, you must enter Vermillius Gap, where the real Dune Awakening will begin for you. Now, the Vermillius Gap is split into a Western and Eastern section.

There are very few good base locations in this area, and the best one is in the Western Vermillius Gap, the northernmost part of which meets with Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub and Mysa Taril.

This place is an absolute goldmine for farming every resource found in the game and is the first place you should build a serious base. The area itself is filled with Iron, Copper, and Granite deposits, while there are 4 to 5 enemy camps nearby for easy blood extraction. Furthermore, you will find wreckage and enemy strongholds nearby to find rare resources.

The best part about this area is that it is incredibly close to Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub and Mysa Taril, without quicksand blocking access to the area. This will allow you to farm carbon and other valuable ores from Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub and Mysa Taril without the need to move bases to Dune Awakening.

3. Best Base Location in Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub

If you want to build a base that gives access to a ton of Carbon and Copper deposits, then the western area of Jabal Eifril Al-janub, north of the Western Vermillius Gap, is the perfect spot for you.

This place is filled with natural resources, making it perfect for large guilds to stock up on materials. From Carbon, Copper, Granite, to Water, this place is a fantastic farming spot for large teams. However, if you are playing Dune Awakening solo, I recommend you stay at the above base location in Western Vermillius Gap, as it would give you access to more materials without needing extra manpower.

4. Best Base Location in Hagga Rift

Haga Rift is one of the late-game areas in Dune Awakening and can be found north of Jabal Eifrit Al-Janub. Although this place is not ideal for making a long-term base, a short-term base can benefit you a lot here, but only at the place I have marked below on the map. This is the only area in Haga Rift where you can obtain Erythrite Crystals.

Create a base in the locations shown on the map and farm as many Erythrite Crystals as you need for crafting. Once you have entirely farmed the area, leave the base and shift to one of the abovementioned bases.

Best Dune Awakening Base Building Tips and Tricks

Now that you know the best places to build bases in Dune Awakening, there are a few things you need to keep in mind while designing your base. First, you must create a base near the following things:

• Water sources: The best bases are near water in Dune Awakening. Make sure you build your base near many dew plants or enemy camps. You can extract blood from enemy camps, or use Dew Reaper to get water directly from dew plants at night.
• Wreckages: Most of the important materials for crafting mid-game items can be found in Wreckages. Every area has a very limited number of wreckages, so building your base near a wreckage can save you a ton of time.
• Near Tradeposts: Tradeposts are essential for reaching Arrakeen or Hagna Village in Dune Awakening, until you have an Omnithopter. So, creating a base near Tradeposts can be an excellent decision.
• Natural resources: Your entire point of building a base is to have a safe location for farming the nearby land. So, you should always build bases in ore-rich areas.

Other than the best places to build bases, here are some base design tips you should follow:

• Keep it simple: Building an extravagant base can become an issue when you plan to move bases frequently. So, it is best to build a simple base with decent space.
• Create a garage: Don’t leave your vehicles outside, as they can be damaged by enemies or storms. Create a small garage to safeguard them.
• Flat unoccupied roof: Other than a garage, it is always advised to keep a flat unoccupied roof, which will act as an Omnithopter landing spot. Although you won’t get your Omnithopter until mid to end game, it is still best to ready yourself for it.
