The action involves 144,516 trucks. Documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicate that the problem software was used in production from Feb. 3, 2021, to Nov. 28, 2023. Trucks built since then have updated software.
Through its investigation, Ford identified several issues with the camera-related software. A software update, available at no charge at the local Ford or Lincoln dealership, will correct these various risk factors.
Ford is aware of two crashes, with no injuries, related to this condition.
Owners will be notified starting Sept. 30, 2024.
