Harlem theatre shows movies for kids for free

HARLEM, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The city of Harlem has been showing Movies Under the Stars every Saturday, with the last one being next weekend.

Before the movie, there is kids’ craft time and a Matinee screening inside the Laurel and Hardy Museum.

One of the organizers talked about the crowd that showed up.

“For the sun or sundown showing, I suspect it will be larger because usually it is for the sundown showings unless it’s very cold out. Even with the hot out, we usually get a decent number,” said Megan Foster, museum director and events coordinator.

The last movie the city is showing is The Wizard of Oz, and before the show, Main Street Treats is having a meet and greet with Bluey.

Kids’ crafts start at 2 p.m., the matinee showing is 5 p.m., and the Under the Stars showing is 8:30 p.m.

Everything is free.
