How Does Ambessa Die in Arcane and Who Kills Her?

Ambessa emerged as a formidable character in Arcane Season 2. Since the beginning, she has been the most manipulative character to have ever existed in the world of Arcane. Besides brainwashing everyone, she never hesitated to kill the ones who stood in her way. For instance, she killed Amara when the latter said she would not get what she wanted. However, in the finale of Arcane Season 2, we see her dying on Mel’s lap. So, how does she die? Let’s find out.

Who Kills Ambessa Medarda in Arcane Season 2?

Ambessa gets killed by LeBlanc in the final episode of Arcane Season 2. Maddie betrays Caitlyn and sides with Ambessa and her army. Maddie points a gun toward Caitlyn and bows before the Noxian warlord. Snatching the gun from Maddie, when Caitlyn runs toward Ambessa but gets stabbed by the cunning woman.

Ambessa asks Maddie to shoot Cait, but when she follows the instructions, she gets herself killed with the same bullet. Thanks to Mel Medarda, who used her powers to create an invisible magical wall between Cait and Maddie that bounced back the bullet towards Maddie.

Mel asks her mother to spare Cait and her soldiers’ lives, but when Ambessa orders her men to attack her, Jinx arrives most flamboyantly in an airship. Ekko shows up in his hoverboard to fight against Ambessa. On the other hand, we also see Sevika and the other revolutionaries arriving on the battlefield.

Later, when Mel discovers that Viktor isn’t in the circular organic orb, she then inquires about his whereabouts. Everyone there starts losing control of their bodies and starts floating in the air. Mel ridicules her mother by saying that she built the city for her family and that Ambessa has ruined everything. The manipulative lady smiled and replied if it was for us, you wouldn’t have fought us.

Cait picks up a spear and asks Ambessa to fight instead of talking. While she fights the Noxian lady, Mel becomes her backup. Simultaneously, Viktor’s puppets start covering the whole place, with Warwick showing up in front of Vi to fight. Cait gets beaten up by Ambessa, but when she is distracted by her victory, Mel touches the locket on her neck after saying, ‘A wolf has no mercy.’

At the same time, Cait also snatches the runic stones from Abessa’s arms that were protecting her from the Arcane magic. Ambessa then finds herself hanging upside down in front of the sorceress.

The sorceress says that even though Ambessa doesn’t have any powers like Mel, she is quite a pain for everyone. She then starts absorbing Ambessa’s energy, but before she can kill her, Mel enters and says, ‘I see your face, deceiver.’ After that, using her powers, she takes her mother back to the battleground, and we see Ambessa lying motionless and helpless on Mel’s lap. Before giving up on her life, Ambessa says, ‘You are the wolf’ to Mel. So, basically, it was LeBlanc who killed Ambessa.

This Is Not the End of the Road for Ambessa, Though

While Ambessa Medarda dies in Arcane, the character was only recently introduced in League of Legends. The champion arrived in the game on November 6, 2024, as a playable character suitable for experienced players. The medium-level players can also try their luck with her in some matches.
