How to Get the New Home and Menace Capes in Minecraft

The last trailer for A Minecraft Movie recently dropped, and we are getting closer to the final movie release date, on April 4, 2025. As such, Mojang is giving out free Minecraft Capes based on the movie to keep up the hype. This limited edition capes can be claimed by completing a few simple steps. How to Get the Minecraft Home Cape

Minecraft is giving out the ‘Home Cape‘ inspired by A Minecraft Movie, and all you need to do is watch any Twitch stream from a Minecraft creator for 3 minutes. Do note that this cape is available only from March 18 – April 6, 2025, so hurry and claim yours right now by following the steps below:

• Go to the official Twitch website, and you will notice your profile icon at the top right corner.
• Click on your profile and select the Drops & Rewards option from the drop-down menu.
• Now, click on the All Campaigns tab under the Drops & Rewards and select the Minecraft Movie Cape Campaign option.
• This will open the task description. Click on the Minecraft category link to view all live Twitch streams from Minecraft creators.
• Now select anyone that you wish to watch and watch them for 3 minutes.
• Click on the Notifications icon or return to the Drops & Rewards page and you’ll see the cape here.
• Click on the Redeem button, and a box displaying your 5×5 Cape code will pop up. Make sure to copy it.
• Now, you’ll be taken to the Minecraft Movie Cape Page. Paste the code in this text box and click on Redeem. Make sure you’re signed in to the same MS account.
• Once you get the cape on Minecraft Bedrock, it will also be available on Java.
• Once signed in, click on the Confirm button, and the Minecraft Movie-themed Home Cape will be yours.

How to Get the Minecraft Menace Cape

Next, we have another free goodie from Minecraft, the Menace Cape. This one was released at the same time as the Home Cape. Thankfully, you can claim this item by April 20, 2025. The method to claim this item relies on TikTok. To create an account follow the steps below:

• Open the official TikTok website and type Minecraft into the search box.
• Press Enter and switch to the Live tab at the top. Now select any live stream you want to watch
• Ensure that the one you are watching has the Rewards Available Tag on it.
• Clicking on the Tag will display the 3-minute countdown. You must watch the stream until the countdown ends.
• Once done, a pop-up box will appear displaying a similar 5×5 code.
• Copy this code and open up the Minecraft Cape Code redemption page.
• Finally, paste the code and click the Confirm button to get the Menace Cape.
