Huawei empowers SMEs through digital and intelligent transformation


During Gitex Global 2024, Huawei hosted the Commercial Market Summit under the theme of “Joining Hands with Partners to Amplify Intelligence for SMEs.” 

At the event, Huawei launched 17 new products, and six new solutions designed for the global SME market. The company also shared its achievements in strategic investment in the commercial market and underlined its commitment to a partner-centric approach to serve hundreds of thousands of customers globally.

Huawei is positioning itself as a key enabler for SMEs striving to stay competitive in the digital age. SMEs, in particular, stand to benefit significantly from the newly launched simplified all-flash data center solution, which offers top-notch IT infrastructure in an accessible package.

For managed service providers (MSPs) in the commercial market, Huawei’s solutions are designed for easy selling, delivery, and growth, ensuring SMEs have access to diverse and effective services. At the Huawei Commercial Market Summit, Yusuf Ahmed, CEO of KEMS Zajil Telecom, the largest internet service provider in Kuwait, shared how enterprises in Kuwait are adopting cloud-based solutions to support the anything-as-a-service (XaaS) trend. By leveraging Huawei’s technology, KEMS Zajil Telecom has provided customers with flexible, diverse, and innovative solutions that cater to the evolving demands of the market.

Similarly, Richard Pearson, CPDO of SIBCA in the UAE, spoke about its partnership with Huawei to advance green and intelligent building solutions. This collaboration highlights the growing recognition of sustainable and intelligent infrastructure across industries, positioning Huawei as a leader in supporting the transformation to smarter, more efficient practices. SIBCA hopes to expand its cooperation with Huawei beyond networks and storage to include data centers, cloud, and AI, driving greener and smarter construction in the future.

Speaking at the Huawei Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit 2024, Li Peng, corporate senior vice president and president of ICT sales & service at Huawei, reiterated the importance of building strong digital infrastructure to support SMEs. 

Huawei’s “One Cloud, One Network” solution is an example of how the company is integrating multiple technologies to provide inclusive connectivity that benefits both SMEs and larger enterprises.

Huawei is not only focusing on digital infrastructure but also on cultivating local talent to ensure long-term growth. Through its ICT Academies, Huawei has trained tens of thousands of ICT professionals across the Middle East and Africa, helping bridge the skills gap that is critical for SMEs to succeed in the digital economy. In the UAE alone, Huawei has collaborated with more than 30 solution partners, creating 20-plus industry-specific solutions that cater to local needs.
