Sunjay Kapur’s Will Forged, claims Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer:

The ongoing inheritance dispute over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30,000-crore estate has taken a dramatic turn. On Thursday, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing Samaira and Kiaan Kapur — the children from Sunjay’s marriage to actor Karisma Kapoor — told the Delhi High Court that the will presented by Kapur’s widow, Priya Sachdev Kapur, was a forged document.

Appearing before Justice Jyoti Singh, Jethmalani alleged that the will was fabricated to exclude Sunjay’s children and hand over his entire estate to Priya Kapur. He claimed that Sunjay “had no role in his own will,” pointing out that digital evidence and travel records proved the industrialist was away on vacation with his son Kiaan between March 15 and 18, 2025 — when the document was reportedly altered.

“The will was changed on March 17 at 11:54 a.m., when Sunjay Kapur wasn’t even in the city. His digital footprints are missing, replaced by those of the conspirators, including Priya Kapur,” Jethmalani told the court. He further stated that such an act amounts to a serious offence under Section 467 of the Indian Penal Code, which carries a punishment of life imprisonment for forgery.

At the heart of the case is a will dated March 21, 2025, that allegedly leaves Sunjay’s entire estate to Priya Kapur. The children have challenged its authenticity, calling it part of “a criminal conspiracy.”

Jethmalani also accused Priya of behaving like “an evil Cinderella mother” toward Samaira and Kiaan, claiming she tried to isolate them and their grandmother Rani Kapur. The court has directed Priya Kapur to re-file the asset list with a signed affidavit. The hearing will continue on October 13.
