Satish Shah’s Wife Madhu Shah Suffering From Alzheimer’s:

We are still trying to get over the shock.of Satish Shah’s demise yet and we are hit by another shocking news. As confirmed by multiple reports, Madhu Shah, the wife of late actor Satish Shah, is battling Alzheimer’s disease.

Her condition came to light following statements by fellow actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, who disclosed that Satish had undergone a kidney transplant earlier in the year in part so that he could extend his life and care for his ailing wife.

Pilgaonkar revealed that Satish had been on dialysis and had had bypass surgery previously. Despite his own health challenges, Satish made the choice to undergo the transplant with his commitment to Madhu in mind. “Unfortunately, even Madhu isn’t well. She has Alzheimer’s,” Pilgaonkar shared, noting the actor’s determination to remain by her side. 

As many of you know, Alzheimer’s is a progressive brain disorder that causes memory loss, confusion about familiar people or places, impaired reasoning and changes in mood or personality. In Madhu’s case, reports suggest the illness has affected her awareness of recent events and her memory, making her care more demanding and emotional for the family.

With Satish’s passing, the family now faces the added challenge of continuing her care without his active presence.
