5. Scarlet Witch

Featured at A-tier in our Marvel Rivals tier list, Scarlet Witch is a proper mage Duelist. Her normal attack requires her to stay up close and personal. This can be one of her weaknesses due to her low health. However, her alt attack compensates it by giving you the chance to recover HP on each hit. You can also stun enemies in an area with her Dark Seal ability.

Despite being low on HP pool, it gets hard to kill Scarlet Witch thanks to her two charges of Mystic Projection. This ability helps you escape with a 50% bonus movement while going invisible. It can also be a perfect ability to set up your ultimate Reality Erasure which deals 750 damage. Moreover, you can team up with Magneto to give him a new damaging ability while he stays forward as a solid tank for a perfect duo combo.

  • Pros: Huge ultimate damage, Great damage potential, Good escape ability
  • Cons: Low health, Requires close range to deal damage

4. Star-Lord

Star-Lord is the best showstopper Duelist in Marvel Rivals while being hard to catch. Although he requires a lot of healing assistance from the best Marvel Rivals Strategists, he can go in and out of fights effortlessly. Star-Lord’s attack speed is his signature, which helps him melt enemies down in seconds. However, his falloff damage is what limits his shooting from a long distance, making you play a lot closer than other ranged Duelists.

To balance that out, he comes with two great movement abilities. His Stellar Shift ability makes you invincible for a few seconds while letting you reload instantly. Moreover, his Rocket Propulsion helps you dash away from enemies and reach verticality.

While he is mostly a 1v1 kind, his Blaster Barrage ability can deal damage in AOE. His ultimate ability is what makes him a showstopper in the game as it locks your aim on enemies to finish them off faster. When teaming up with Adam Warlock, you also gain a resurrection ability.

  • Pros: Great movement, Auto-aim ultimate ability
  • Cons: Low health

3. Hawkeye

If we have to describe the Marvel Rivals character role: Duelist, then Hawkeye fits it perfectly. His Archer’s Focus passive increases your chance to deal 80 bonus damage on top of your Piercing Arrow damage when you hold your aim on an enemy character. If you can successfully land a fully charged headshot, it can one-shot 200 HP heroes. Or, you can always switch to your Blast Arrows for AOE damage.

Apart from his passive and normal weapon damage, Hawkeye also comes with great abilities suited to his attacks. His Ronin Slash and Crescent Slash can deflect projectiles or knock enemies. You can also use the Hypersonic Arrow in a straight line to deal two instances of damage to enemies while making them slow or knocking them down from the air.

Hawkeye also can double jump to reposition himself or dodge attacks while his ultimate Hunter’s Sight helps him detect enemy afterimage. You can deal damage to the afterimage and it reflects on the enemy heroes. Furthermore, you can share the afterimage passive with Black Widow if you team up with her.

  • Pros: Massive damage, Easy to play
  • Cons: Low health, Lack of escape ability

2. Iron Fist

Although Iron Fist is one of the most overpowered characters in Marvel Rivals, he cannot be the ‘numero uno’ yet. However, you can put a painful face on your enemy’s face at your will when using him. Marvel Rivals has its fair share of melee Duelists but most of them find it hard to get close to enemies. Well, with Iron Fist, you can do that without using your abilities.

He keeps going forward with either his normal or alt attacks, giving him a better chance to close the distance. To complement his punches, he has a kick ability that helps him dash forward and knock enemies. Moreover, you can gain up to 150 bonus HP with Dragon’s Defense which can be a great tool for a Duelist.

His ultimate ‘Living Chi’ can boost his speed, damage, and attack range while delivering stronger punches. And you can upgrade your damage even more if you use his Marvel Rivals team up with Luna Snow.

  • Pros: Great movement, Massive damage output, Great health recovery
  • Cons: Difficult to execute combos

1. Psylocke

Psylocke is currently is best Duelist hero in Marvel Rivals for multiple reasons but one of them is how easy she is to play. You can use her Psi-Blade Dash to enter fights or escape them while dealing a good chunk of damage. But that is not the only movement ability of Psylocke. You can also use the Psychic Stealth to go invisible. Having to escape mechanism makes her one of the hardest Duelists to kill in the game.

Moreover, her attack speed is faster than many other DPS characters. Although she doesn’t have the strongest normal attack damage, her alt attack can dish out enemies faster. However, unlike several damage dealers, she can cut down multiple enemies at once while staying invulnerable with her ultimate ability Dance of the Butterfly. Yes, it gets a little hard to deal with this pesky ninja.

  • Pros: Great movement, Massive escape potential
  • Cons: Weak normal attack
