Next year’s Samsung Galaxy S26 series could feature at least one phone with what looks a lot like the expected iPhone 17 Pro model redesign. This, according to a photo of dummy units purported be Samsung S26 phones by leaker Sonny Dickson.
“Here’s your first look at the Samsung Galaxy S26 dummies,” Dickson said in his X post. “Launching in February, and it looks like Samsung is going with a design very similar to the iPhone 17.”
Dickson’s photo shows three tan dummy phones which appear to be the Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Edge and the S26 Ultra. The middle model we think is the Edge and it appears to have a similar redesign as the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models expected to launch on September 9.
The camera array has been expanded to go from edge to edge. Though unlike the iPhone 17 redesign, the sensors seem to be staying close to the lenses.
It’s possible that the enlarged camera array could enable Samsung to house more internal components in the ultra-thin phone, potentially including a larger battery. If it’s just a copy of Apple’s design, then it’s a real headscratcher.
It’s rumored that Samsung will replace the S26 Plus with the S26 Edge. It’s one more way that Samsung might be copying Apple, as the Cupertino company is reportedly set to eliminate its Plus model in favor of the iPhone 17 Air.
The S26 and S26 Ultra dummies do appear to have some slight design changes with a new island around the lenses. Nothing else sticks out from there.
Meanwhile, Samsung just announced the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE and the Tab S11 tablet.
