One Piece Chapter 1125 Revives Vegapunk in the Most Unexpected Way

Spoiler Warning:
This article includes spoilers for One Piece manga chapter 1125 and focuses on the aftermath of the Egghead island situation.

Eiichiro Oda has once again fooled the fans with not just one but four fake deaths in the Egghead Island arc. After setting up tear-jerking and tragic deaths for Dr. Vegapunk’s satellites, including Shaka, Edison, Pythagoras, and Atlas, Oda has decided to revive them in the climax of this arc. So, keep reading to find out how the various Vegapunks were resurrected in One Piece Chapter 1125.

Dr. Vegapunk’s Satellites Are Still Alive in One Piece

A few chapters back, Lilith confirmed that the other Vegapunks are still alive (except Stella). From this statement, many fans concluded that all the satellites’ memories were with Lilith, so technically they were alive and with us.

However, after reading One Piece Chapter 1125, we can see that Lilith meant exactly what she said. The remnants of the satellites that were thought to be dead — Shaka, Edison, Pythagoras, and Atlas — have used spare parts for each body and combined them to form a new satellite body. You can literally see Atlas and Pythagoras’ hands in Shaka’s mainframe.

By utilizing the cloud factory, the satellites were able to secure Punk Records, which the World Government thought they had successfully retrieved and had full access to after Dr Vegapunk’s sad demise. However, Edison remarked they have to shoulder the responsibility of keeping the records safe until humanity can access the knowledge in the future. He was also seen contacting Haredas in Weatheria, and it seems they will safeguard it on an artificial sky island from now on.

So, will Lilith be able to reunite with her fellow satellites? Will the remnant Vegapunk go to help the Straw Hat Pirates in the final war? We will have to wait for a long time to find the answers to these questions. I’m still thinking about whether this was the right decision from Oda to bring them back into the story. So, what do you think about the Vegapunks satellites being back in the series? Let us know in the comments below.
