Roblox Mugen Style Tier List (June 2025)

Mugen is a new battlegrounds game that has some of your favorite anime characters inspired by the Demon Slayer anime. What makes it so special is its smooth combat and a collection of cool fighting styles with a huge number of attacks and combos to slay enemies. So, as you start the game, you will be able to customize your character with these styles. To help you choose the right fighting style, we have compiled a Mugen tier list with the five existing styles in this Roblox game.

Mugen Style Tier List: Overview

Tier Styles
S Tier Shockwave, Sound
A Tier Sickles, Flame
B Tier Water

With just five styles for now, we have divided them into three categories. The S tier is the best of the lot, including great styles like Shockwave and Sound. Water is the most common style right now and sits at the bottom in B Tier.

We haven’t included C and D tiers in this list, since all existing styles are worth fighting your battles with. That said, let’s start from the top and look at the best Mugen characters and styles first:

S-Tier

Style Rarity Advantages Disadvantages
Shockwave Mythical High damage
Powerful combos
Has both long and short range attacks
Practically nothing
Sound Legendary Easier to obtain
Easy to hit combos
High damage
Long cooldowns

Starting with the S-Tier, the Shockwave and Sound styles seem to be the best choices in Mugen at the time of writing. Shockwave is easily an overpowered style; however, it is just as hard to obtain with a 0.5% drop chance. The combo moves in Shockwave are breathtaking, and you can quickly take down enemies in a few hits. The high damage potential with powerful combos of long as well as short range attacks makes it worthwhile.

While the mythical Shockwave style is the best of all, the legendary Sound style is a solid alternative and gives it tough competition. It sees you use Tengen’s dual chain swords and inflict heavy damage on enemies with powerful attacks.

A-Tier

Style Rarity Advantages Disadvantages
Sickles Epic Chain of M1 attacks
Poison attack and damage over time
Limited move set
Flame Legendary Powerful attacks
High damage
Long cooldowns
Average range

Coming to the A-Tier, the Sickles style allows you to deliver a chain of attacks at the opponent, overwhelming them. Not only is the damage great, but you also inflict poison on enemies with the Sickle fighting style. It has limited combo opportunities and range of attacks, hence, it sits in the A Tier instead of S.

Flame might remind you of Rengoku-san and all of his huge damage-dealing attacks in the Demon Slayer anime. Mugen’s Flame style lives up to the expectations and is easily one of the coolest in the game. However, the attacks only have a decent range and high cooldowns, making the style lag behind Shockwave and Sound.

B-Tier

Style Rarity Advantages Disadvantages
Water Common Easiest to obtain
More combos and moves
Less damage dealing and easily replaceable

Starting with Water as a beginner is completely fine as long as you are ready to grind and unlock better styles in the game later on. Everyone is assigned the Water style when they start playing Mugen, since it’s the easiest to obtain. But that doesn’t mean Tanjiro or Giyu’s Water style is not cool, calm, and collected like them.

As you start battling other players, it will feel as if you’re the main protagonist of Demon Slayer in this game. However, the Water style has its disadvantage that prevents it from being usable in the later stages of the game. The low damage output and disappointing awakening power fall flat in a high-tier fight.

So those are my rankings for the existing Mugen styles based on their damage and combo potential. Which is your favorite style in the game right now? Let us know in the comments below!
