The type of memory you choose is a crucial factor that affects the performance of your PC in a huge way. With the rise of SSDs, transferring files, loading up games, and accessing huge folders have become much easier. If you’re still running an old HDD, there’s no better time to upgrade to an SSD than this Black Friday. Here are some of the best Black Friday SSD deals.
All the SSDs mentioned in this article (with a few exceptions) are 2TB storage variants. We believe 2TB is a sweet spot for storing all your files as well as gaming. If you think 2TB NVMe’s are overkill, other storage variants of all SSDs are also on sale, though they may not provide the same value for money. That said, budget buyers may lean toward 1TB and that’s fine because there are lots of 1TB SSDs on sale as well, albeit some of them are SATA SSDs.
Black Friday SSD Deals for Gaming and Storage
There are loads of great gaming SSD Black Friday deals in the market but only a few stand out. One of the best deals is the Samsung 990 Pro, which is a PCIe Gen 4 SSD. It’s now available for $249 $169, which makes it a great buy considering it’s the fastest SSD around. The WD Black SN850X is another excellent SSD that is on sale for $199 $132. Both the 990Pro and 850X come with a DRAM cache for faster and consistent transfer speeds. The Lexar and Black SN770 are DRAM-less, which is fine, but they may struggle during large file transfers.
Black Friday Affordable SSD Deals
Many looking for affordable SSDs look for something under $100 and for them, the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB is a decent option for $74 $64. Sure, it’s DRAM-less, but it’s an NVMe drive with decently fast file transfer speeds. For those who need consistent file transfer speeds, SATA drives with DRAM caches are desirable and still very relevant. Crucial MX500 and Samsung 870 Evo are two of the best SATA SSDs you can buy. They have DRAM and use TLC tech whereas the BX500, the cheapest drive on this list, uses QLC and doesn’t have DRAM, hence the price of $79 $59.
Black Friday PlayStation 5 SSD Deals
Some of the SSDs from our best PlayStation 5 SSD list are currently on sale. Most of them come with a heatsink. The Samsung 990 Pro is the fastest SSD on the list for $264 $179, followed by WD Black SN850P and Seagate FireCuda 530R. The SK Hynix P41 is another excellent SSD but doesn’t come with a heatsink.
Black Friday Portable SSD Deals
Portable SSDs could be great for accessing files on the go and for those looking for the best portable SSD, the SanDisk Extreme Portable for $224 $136 could be a great acquisition. If you’re after security, the Samsung T7 for $254 $139 with hardware encryption should be your go-to SSD. Finally, the X10 from Crucial is a decent pick as well. All these SSDs come with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and have a transfer speed of upwards of 2000 MB/s.
Black Friday ROG Ally and Steam Deck SSD Deals
No better time to upgrade that tiny little drive in your Steam Deck or ROG Ally than Black Friday. The WD Black SN770M for $129 $89 is an excellent deal, followed by Sabrent Rocket for $99 $84. If you need more than 1TB of storage, the P310 from Crucial offers 2TB for $264 $139.
Those are all the types of SSDs you can snag during this Black Friday sale. NVMe or SATA, these SSDs provide much better performance compared to mechanical Hard Drives.
