Solo Leveling Ragnarok: Who Is the Main Villain of the Sequel Series?

Solo Leveling Ragnarok is a sequel to the legendary Solo Leveling series, and is currently ongoing as a web novel and webtoon. While the original manhwa focused on Jinwoo’s level up journey and fight against the Monarchs, the sequel series features an entirely different class of villains. Do you remember the Absolute Being in the Solo Leveling series? Yes, the one that Rulers killed before the events of the main timeline? Well, the Absolute Being is a godly entity in the Solo Leveling universe that created Rulers and Monarchs before the dawn of time.

Of course, the Rulers killed their God after learning that he was making his creation fight an endless war just for his entertainment. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the Absolute Being was an incredibly powerful entity who lost to Rulers only because they retaliated together and caught him by surprise.

Apparently, the Absolute Being wasn’t the only God in the universe. Interestingly, he belonged to the Itarim race, and there are other Gods like him in the cosmos. Each of these Gods got bored of creating and destroying universes. So, they made their creations fight each other in an endless war so they could entertain themselves with all the chaos.

After sensing that one of their brothers has been killed by his own creation, the other Itarim Gods seek to conquer this untamed universe. For them, Earth is the source of unlimited mana and is unclaimed by any God, so they all want to capture Earth for themselves.

The Itarim race starts sending their servants, Apostles, to capture Earth for them. However, they find Jinwoo and the Rulers standing in their way and fighting their forces in outer space. On the other hand, Sung Suho has been training to become strong enough to defend the planet from the Apostles in his father’s absence.

Suho Could Also Act as a Villain In Solo Leveling Ragnarok

Sung Suho is the son of Jinwoo and the protagonist of the sequel series. Being the son of the Shadow Monarch, Suho flexes great potential and inherits some of the Shadow abilities. However, he isn’t the Shadow Monarch; that power resides only within Jinwoo.

Without the power of a Monarch, it would be difficult for Suho to match his father’s prowess. And if he doesn’t, there would be no point in making him the protagonist of the entire series. Fortunately, the web novel has hinted that Sung Suho is destined to inherit the powers of Antares, the Monarch of Destruction.

Antares was Jinwoo’s biggest enemy in the original series, and if Suho inherits his powers, there’s a chance he could stand against his father at one point. That rivalry wouldn’t be permanent, though, and maybe Jin-woo will make peace with Suho’s powers. Eventually, Suho will join his father’s side. However, the idea of Sung Suho acting as a villain in the sequel series, even for a brief while, is an interesting idea that should be explored.
