Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Recalled for Braking Proble

Vehicles recalled: Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2022, and Sept. 10, 2024.

The problem: The electronic control unit for skid control within the vehicle’s brake actuator assembly has faulty software. As a result, it may not properly control brake fluid pressure, which could lead to reduced brake performance in corners.

The fix: Toyota dealerships will perform a software update free of charge.

How to contact the manufacturer: Owners may call Toyota at 800-331-4331.

NHTSA campaign number: 24V708. Toyota’s own number for this recall is 24TA11.

Check to see whether your vehicle has an open recall: NHTSA’s website will tell you whether your vehicle has any open recalls that need to be addressed.

If you plug your car’s 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) into NHTSA’s website and a recall doesn’t appear, it means your vehicle doesn’t currently have one. Because automakers issue recalls often, and for many older vehicles, we recommend checking back regularly.
