Bollywood filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has been booked in a ₹30 crore fraud case filed by Dr. Ajay Murdia, founder of Indira IVF, at the Bhupalpura Police Station in Udaipur, Rajasthan. As per the FIR, Bhatt, his wife Shwetambari Bhatt, and six others allegedly misled Dr. Murdia by promising to make a biopic about his late wife, claiming the film would generate massive profits — but instead, the group allegedly misappropriated more than ₹30 crore.

Bhatt has strongly denied the charges, calling the FIR “misleading.” He claims some of the documents in the complaint are forged, and he says he has “complete evidence” to prove his innocence. According to him, Dr. Murdia even halted production of the film titled Virat halfway, and outstanding payments to technicians remain unpaid.
