When asked about the film’s phenomenal success and its larger impact on mainstream cinema, Adah highlighted the importance of a “woman-centric” film breaking box office records. “In business terms, a film that is— in the words of so many industry experts—‘woman-centric’ and did so well at the box office, becoming the highest female-grossing film of all time, is great,” she shared.

She further added, “When a film does well, it helps the whole industry. A film like this, which speaks for women’s rights, speaks against terrorism, and has people organically watching and promoting it, feels wonderful.”
