To view your FaceTime photos, open the Photos app on your iPhone. iPad, or Mac and you’ll find all the FaceTime photos in the Library. You can browse through the library or scroll to the date when you took the pictures.

Create a Smart Album to Save FaceTime Photos on Mac

For easier access, you can create a Smart Album on your Mac that automatically captures all your FaceTime Photos. It’s worth knowing that you can only create Smart Albums on Mac, and not on iPhone or iPad.

Here’s how to do it:

  • Open the Photos app on your Mac.
  • From the sidebar, hover over My Albums and you’ll see a + button.
  • Click on it and choose Smart Album.
  • Now, enter a name for your smart album and configure the following filter with the help of dropdown menus: Lens includes FaceTime.
  • Please note that you won’t find the FaceTime option. you’ll have to enter FaceTime manually in the third box.
  • Once you’ve done this, hit the Ok button to create your Smart Album.

Going forward, you’ll find all the Live Photos you’ve captured during FaceTime calls in this smart album.
