Who Is Powerplex in Invincible Season 3? Powers and Abilities Explained

After almost 2 years, Invincible Season 3 is moving closer to its release, and with each passing day, the excitement among fans to witness the next chapter of Mark AKA Invincible’s adventures is reaching its peak. With the new chapter, comes a brand new villain Mark will stand against. The villain I am referring to here is Powerplex and even though he was a minor antagonist in Invincible comic books, in the series we might get to see a much deeper and prominent version of the character. So, without further ado, let me tell you all about Powerplex, his powers, and the abilities we could witness in Invincible Season 3.

Who Is Powerplex in Invincible?

In Invincible Comics, Powerplex’s actual name is Scott Duvall. He was an employee at the GDA and worked in the science division. Scott became a villain named Powerplex to avenge the death of his sister who died in the aftermath of the battle between Invincible and Omni-Man. This is the reason why Powerplex hates Invincible. He held Invincible accountable for the death of his sister and created a suit using kinetic energy plates to use against him and potentially kill him. However, while attempting to kill Invincible, Scott ends up incinerating his wife and daughter.

What Are Powerplex’s Powers in Invincible?

Powerplex’s suit comprises kinetic energy plates that absorb any impact it faces and turn it into a high-energy electrical pulse. This allows him to exploit one of the few Viltrumite weaknesses and in the comic books, using high-voltage electricity, he has been able to stand his ground against Omni-Man as well. Initially, he was captured and put into a high-security prison but during the Invincible War event, which is pretty certain to happen in Invincible Season 3, he broke out of there and once again went after Mark.

Powerplex has been a recurring villain in Invincible Comics. Since he is confirmed to appear in Season 3, there is a high possibility that moving forward, he might become a series regular.
