This expanded recall involves other lot codes of the same product that were produced around the same time. No illnesses in people have been linked to this recall, the company said in a statement.
The lot codes are 22639, 22641, 22653, 22660, 22664, and 22672. They’re located on a sticker on the lid of the product. All have a best-by date of 12/2025.
Wild Coast Raw also said it has moved to producing cooked-chicken cat food. “These new recipes will be in place indefinitely and will be available starting next week,” the company said in its statement. (Cooking to 165° F kills the bird flu virus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.)
Wild Coast Raw didn’t immediately respond to CR’s questions about how the recalled products became contaminated.
