Akshay Kumar & Arshad Warsi’s Sequel is Underperforming; Will Miss HIT Tag –

Jolly LLB 3 Box office – Underperforming:

Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla courtroom comedy drama Jolly LLB 3 is facing tough times at the box office. The film, which was expected to easily enter the 100 crore nett club, is now finding that target more challenging than anticipated.

After a decent opening week, where the film collected around ₹71.25 crore nett, its momentum slowed down in the second weekend. On its second Friday, the film earned ₹3.65 crore nett, followed by ₹6.50 crore nett on Saturday. This takes the total collection to approximately ₹81.40 crore nett in nine days. While these numbers are respectable, they are far below what trade experts had predicted for a big franchise film led by Akshay Kumar.

The movie is expected to touch the ₹90 crore nett mark by Monday or Tuesday. From there, the journey towards ₹100 crore begins. However, the upcoming release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will take away a large number of screens, which will make it even more difficult for Jolly LLB 3 to maintain its pace.

In comparison, Jolly LLB 2 had a lifetime collection of ₹107 crore nett. Looking at the current trend, the third installment may fall short of surpassing that mark. While the film is not a flop, it cannot be called a hit either. Instead, it seems to be heading towards an “average” verdict at the box office.

The expectations were high, especially with the return of Arshad Warsi alongside Akshay Kumar, but the film has not delivered the kind of strong performance that was anticipated. For now, Jolly LLB 3 remains underwhelming, and its box office journey highlights just how tough the competition has become for sequels in Bollywood.
