• “Michael” (PG-13): Biographical drama of the life of Michael Jackson, highlighting both his life off-stage and performances from his early solo career. Starring Michael’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, along with Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller and Colman Domingo. In theaters, April 24.

• “Mother Mary” (R): Musical melodrama about iconic pop star Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) who reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer (Michaela Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance. Directed by David Lowery. Also starring Hunter Schafer and Kaia Gerber. In theaters, April 24.

• “Over Your Dead Body” (R): When miserable couple Dan and Lisa go on a romantic reset to a remote cabin, each arrives with a secret plan to kill the other. However, their traps unravel when strangers crash the weekend with plans of their own. Starring Jason Segel, Samara Weaving, Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis and Paul Guilfoyle. • “Fuze” (R): London undergoes a citywide evacuation when an unexploded World War II bomb is unearthed at a busy construction site. Amid the chaos, a meticulously planned bank heist is set in motion. • “I Swear?” (R): Based on the life story of Tourette’s Syndrome activist John Davidson. Set in 1980s Britain, the story follows him throughout his troubled teens and early adulthood, and explores the misunderstood condition. Starring Robert Aramayo, Maxine Peake, Shirley Henderson, Peter Mullan and Scott Ellis Watson. In select theaters, April 24.

• “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” (R): Horror film about a journalist’s young daughter who disappears into the desert. The family is shocked when after eight years, she’s returned to them and soon starts to transform into something horrifying. Starring Jack Reynor, May Calamawy, Laia Costa, Natalie Grace and Veronica Falcón.

• “Normal” (R): Sheriff Ulysses (Bob Odenkirk) is the temporary sheriff of a small town in Minnesota. While investigating a botched bank robbery, he uncovers a violent criminal underground. Also starring Henry Winkler, Lena Headey, Brendan Fletcher and Ryan Allen.

• “Busboys” (R): Comedy about a pair of friends who become waiters, believing it will solve their problems. Starring David Spade, Theo Von, Tim Dillon and Bobby Lee.

• “You, Me & Tuscany” (PG-13): Anna (Halle Bailey) impulsively jets off to Tuscany, Italy, after a chance encounter with Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor), a handsome Italian who has a villa sitting empty there. Caught inside the house by the man’s mother (Isabella Ferrari), Anna convinces the woman that she’s his fiancée. Also starring Regé-Jean Page, Marco Calvani, Aziza Scott, and Nia Vardalos.

• “Beast” (R): A martial arts legend, now a commercial fisherman, is pulled back into the cage when his brother is in danger. Reuniting with his old coach, he commits to one final fight. Starring Russell Crowe, Daniel MacPherson and Luke Hemsworth.

• “Exit 8” (PG-13): Japanese horror film that follows a man trapped in an endless subway corridor.

• “Faces of Death” (R): A content moderator stumbles upon a series of violent videos that appear to re-enact death scenes from the infamous 1978 film “Faces of Death,” and must determine whether the violence is fake or real. Starring Barbie Ferreira, Dacre Montgomery, Josie Totah, Jermaine Fowler, Aaron Holliday, and Charli XCX.

• “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” (PG): Animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., and follows “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” of 2023.

• “The Drama” (R): A happily engaged couple are put to the test when an unexpected revelation upsets their wedding week. Starring Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Alana Haim, Zoe Winters and Hailey Gates.

• “A Great Awakening” (PG-13): A historical drama exploring the friendship between renowned preacher George Whitefield and Benjamin Franklin and Whitefield’s impact during the 18th-century Great Awakening religious movement. Starring Jonathan Blair, John Paul Sneed, Josh Bates, Matt Meyer and Stephen Foster Harris.

• “They Will Kill You” (R): A young woman answers an ad for a housekeeping job at a New York City high-rise and soon finds that the building is run by a Satanic cult and she must fight to survive to avoid becoming their next offering. Starring Zazie Beetz, Tom Felton, Heather Graham and Patricia Arquette.

• “Project Hail Mary” (PG-13): Based on Andy Weir’s novel of the same name, science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He soon realizes he must complete his interstellar mission to save Earth from a catastrophe. Also starring Sandra Hüller, Milana Vayntrub, James Ortiz and Ken Leung.

• “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come” (R): Horror/Comedy sequel to “Ready or Not.” After surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game, and this time with her estranged sister, Faith, (Kathryn Newton) by her side.

• “Reminders of Him” (PG-13): After an outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison for seven years. After her release, Kenna returns to her hometown, hoping to rebuild her life and reunite with her young daughter. Film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name. Also starring Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford, Rudy Pankow, Ledger Ward and Lainey Wilson.

• “Hoppers” (PG): New Disney/Pixar animated comedy film where scientists discover a way to transform human consciousness into robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals. Featuring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Meryl Streep and Dave Franco.

• “Scream 7” (R): New installment in the “Scream” franchise with a new Ghostface killer emerging in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life. Also starring Mckenna Grace, Matthew Lillard, Courteney Cox, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and David Arquette.
