Nico Robin Chucks Saint Sommers Off the Edge
The latest chapter starts with Sommer executing his plan to kill the giant kids one by one by making them jump off the cliff on Branch 8. Ronja, an optimistic young giant girl, is selected as the first kid to be pushed off the edge.
With the first kid in position to drop, Sommers gives an ultimatum to the people of Elbaf. He gives them thirty seconds to burn Elbaf’s school and library, or the God’s Knights will push the kids to their deaths. Well, Elder Jarul is forced to order the teachers to comply. The nation of Elbaf goes into a state of commotion with the kids’ lives on the line.
Nico Robin, who can’t stand watching the vicious acts of the God’s Knights, prepares to launch a counterattack against Sommers. Meanwhile, the Giant Warrior Pirates, along with Ripley and Franky, head out to Branch 8 to save the kids. Sommers orders the giants to destroy every single book to make sure the Giants’ culture and history become ashes.
At this point, Nico Robin comes out of hiding and uses her Hana Hana no Mi powers to launch a powerful strike against Sommers. She doesn’t stop there and immediately breaks his body in half. However, being a God’s Knight, Sommers quickly regenerates and gets back into shape.
Upon learning about his regeneration powers, Robin creates a clone and holds him off tightly, and jumps off the cliff together. Robin knows this move isn’t enough to take down Saint Sommers, but she manages to separate the kids from Sommers’ Thorn-Thorn fruit’s range. The old knight quickly destroys the clone and clings to a branch using his thorn powers.
Scopper Gaban Slashes Sommer in the Final Panel
Robin is unsuccessful in setting her Straw Hat Pirates crew members free as she has to take down Gunko to remove all the arrow-shaped bandages.
During this time, Sommers lets Ronja speak up to her people. The little girl is ready to sacrifice her life to save her school and library. However, Elder Jarul, in tears, asks Ange to set fire to the school and library to save the kids’ lives.
Sommers climbs back up and catches Robin off guard with his thorns. The God’s Knights member manages to control the situation pretty well, but he didn’t anticipate the arrival of Scopper Gaban at the scene. Gaban, in the blink of an eye, slashes one of Sommer’s hands. You can see the streaks of Conqueror’s Haki emanating when he performs this attack, and Sommers can be seen panicking as his hand is not regenerating this time.
Sommers is terrified upon seeing Gaban in the homeland of the Giant. Gaban looks ferocious, unlike the time we first met him, and it’s clear that things will get serious from this moment onwards.
Moreover, it’s been two chapters since we last saw Luffy and Loki in the underworld. So, let’s see if the Straw Hats’ captain learns about the attack on Elbaf and arrives to put an end to the rampage of the God’s Knights on time.
